Change of Scenery?

Sun Aug 26, 2007, 1:26 PM
  • Mood: Nervous
  • Listening to: Moloko "Best if"
  • Reading: Iris Murdoch "The Bell"
  • Watching: Ganges series on BBC2
  • Eating: Indian Takeaway
  • Drinking: Schloer
I asked my colleague last Christmas whether or not she liked the new xmas temp. She said that she didn't and I was surprised as she is so warm hearted, I thought she was incapable of feeling dislike. I asked her why she disliked her and she said she just couldn't deal with change.

I always thought I was different and now I'm faced with my own life change, I admit I'm not looking forward to having to get used to new people, routine, bed etc... I remember my homesickness when I first arrive in Germany. I don't wish to repeat that.

The house is quiet. I wish I were in New York too. But if things pan out as I hope, I may be there myself in a year.

Just the sight of that got my hackles raised.
Just got note.
:iconcatethegreat:
I'm sorry. My conscience says I should apologise.
I'm always impressed by your vocabulary and correct usage of 'their' and 'too'.
Well done.
:iconbboystu:
Can't quite work out if this is intended to be sarcastic and / or patronising on purpose or not :)
:iconcatethegreat:
Neither. I might notice mistakes but I also notice when people get 'difficult' things right :)
Seriously, not a lot of people know, or at least implement the knowledge of, the difference between there/their/they're etc...
:iconbboystu:
Yeah, there pretty stupid! They should get they're selfs some reading books!

Heh... go read my note!
:iconcatethegreat:
It was bloody cold last time. They didn't even have the heating on. I ended up having to get my coat and gloves I got so cold. I might even be tempted to bring my authentic French beret.
:iconbboystu:
Beret would be cool to see! Nightclubs don't usually have heating on, because all the body heat is enough to heat the club. When I worked at the zone, in the winter I started off the night shivering, and was sweating by the end of it!
:iconcatethegreat:
Since Subs has been empty for about 2 years you would have thought it would have occured to them to switch it on-they have it on in the rock room. I spent half the night standing by one of its radiators-until I was accosted by a Goth.
What on earth were you doing working in the Zone?!
